Stop Smoking service
Following advice from NHS England, all face to face smoking cessation appointments have now ceased to be offered by all our providers, however these appointments, can and will be conducted by telephone for the foreseeable future.
COVID-19 is a respiratory illness and smoking is a considerable risk factor for severe illness if you contract it.
Now is the time to #QUITFORCOVID
If you are just starting you stop smoking journey there are some options for you:
- Contact one of the providers listed via telephone or online access if available and ask for telephone support to stop smoking
- Go online to www.todayistheday.co.uk or www.stopsmokinglondon.co.uk to look at support and medications
- Consider switching cigarettes for vaping (electronic cigarettes) – still remains safer option than smoking, as long as hand hygiene rules are followed strictly
- Contact our specialist (Nicky) and get some advice/support via email at: email@example.com
If you are already being seen by one of our General Practices or Pharmacies, please contact them by telephone or email to discuss options to maintain your quit attempt in these circumstances.
This is a fast changing situation and we will update this page as and when new information becomes available to us.
