A basic information session to promote Internet Safety Day 2020. Whether your child is already active online or not, come along and pick up some tips to help keep them safe when they are using the Internet.
As a rough guideline only, this presentation is ideal for parents and carers of children and young people in Years 5/6 at primary school and years 7/8 at secondary school, or anyone who has a child or teenager who is just starting to use the Internet for gaming, social networks and so on.
The session aims to improve parents and carers' knowledge and understanding of the risks that children may face online, and to signpost them to further resources and official reporting sites. It will also provide practical strategies and advice to help support children when they are online. Take away a useful parent’s pack at the end of the session.
