Finsbury Park attack - council response
Leader of Barnet Council, Councillor Richard Cornelius, said: “Our thoughts and sympathies are with all those affected by the terrible events in Finsbury Park in the early hours of this morning. This was an abhorrent attack targeted at worshippers near a mosque.
“In Barnet we are extremely proud of the diversity and tolerance of our communities. Those intent on dividing us will not succeed, and we will continue to work closely with the police and community groups to keep Barnet safe for our residents.”
