About NSL Apply

NSL Apply is an account based, self-serve system provided by our Parking Enforcement Contractor NSL Ltd.

It allows you to apply and manage parking permits and vouchers from your online permit account.  You can now apply for permits and vouchers in a single transaction, with no need to email documents or request your PIN number.

If you have recently purchased a parking permit from Barnet, an account will already have been set up for you.  Please look out for your welcome email with instructions on how to activate your account.   Further information for existing customers.

What’s new

If you need visitor vouchers quickly, you can now order virtual visitor vouchers which will be available to use immediately with no need to wait for vouchers to be posted out to you. More information about visitor vouchers.

How to access your NSL Apply account

You will no longer require a PIN or your permit reference number. NSL Apply is an account based system which you can access using your email address as username, and your own secure password.

If you have received a letter requesting your email address

If you already have a parking permit and did not provide an email address when you applied, we will be contacting you shortly by post with instructions on setting up your new permit account.  

Existing residents

Look out for your welcome email which contains instructions on how to activate your permit account.  You must activate your account by clicking the link within the confirmation email you have received, and setting a password for your account.  The subject line of the email is London Borough of Barnet Parking Permit - Account Confirmation Link and the sender is

If you cannot find your account confirmation email, you can generate a new email link by clicking the Resend Confirmation Link button at the NSL Apply home page.

If you have more than one email address linked to your existing parking permits you will have received a welcome email to each email address. Access and manage your account

New customers

If you would like to apply for parking permits or vouchers, you can create a permit account.

When creating your account, we recommend that you use your current email address as your username. Customers will need to create a password. The system will use your email address to send you important messages, confirmations and password reset requests. Once an account has been created you will be able to access and manage your account. If you cannot locate your street or property in the permit system

If you cannot locate your street or property in the new parking permit system please fill out this online form.  We will look in to the problem and get back to you.

If you had multiple permits under different email addresses in the previous parking permit system

It is not possible to transfer permits between accounts; therefore, it is advised that you allow the permits to expire on the accounts you no longer wish to use and then apply for a new permit in the account you do wish to use.

If you wish to change your username

If you wish to change your username you will need to contact the permit team using the details at the bottom of this page.  We recommend that you use your email address as your username.

If you have trouble accessing or logging into your account

If you are an existing customer and supplied an email address when setting up your permit, an account has already been created for you, and a welcome email is being sent to that email address.

If you have tried to create an account before the activation link has been sent to you, you will be informed that this email address is already linked to an existing account. A message will appear where you can resend an account activation email.  This request will be sent to the email address you used to apply for your existing permit.

If you decide to use a different email address as your username the system will allow you to create a new account. However, you will not see any existing permits as NSL Apply would have already created an account for you with the email address previously supplied for your existing permit.  We recommend that you use the email address previously supplied to set up your permit account.  Once your account is activated, you will have the option to update your details, including your email address, within your permit account.

If you no longer have access to the email address used to apply for your existing permit

You can set up a new account using your preferred email address.  You can then contact us to transfer your existing permits and vouchers into your new account.

If you forget your password

You will be able to reset your password at any time using a ‘forgot password’ link at the NSL Apply home page

If you cannot find your emails

Emails from NSL Apply should appear in your inbox and are sent from  However, they may be misdirected so please remember to check your spam/junk folders before contacting us.
