We have 9 primary and 15 secondary academy and free schools in Barnet.
Free schools are funded by the government but aren’t run by us. Academies are publicly funded independent schools, setting their own curriculum and term dates.

Admissions to academy and free schools in Barnet
To apply for a school place at an academy or free school in Barnet contact the school to make your application ,you will have to apply through us for an academy or free school if you are starting:
- primary school reception for the first time in September 2018
- secondary school year 7 for the first time in September 2018
