Hendon Hub Development Financing

25th March 2024Dear Barnet Council,I am seeking information on the funding model used for the Hendon Hub development. On 27th July 2021, Barnet Council voted to approve the recommendations of the Full Business Case for the Hendon Hub Development Proposal (see attached). They approved, "in principle", the private placement funding model recommended in the Business Case. Since then, however, I have not been able to find any updates on the funding model used, so I am seeking answers to the following questions:1. Have Barnet Council used a Special Purpose Vehicle to fund the Hendon Hub development, as recommended in the business case?2. Have Barnet Council pursued private placement funding for the Hendon Hub development?3. If so, which option was pursued: the Middlesex University covenant or the LBB guarantee? (see page 26 of the business case for a description of these)4. If not, how is the Hendon Hub development being funded?Many thanks,
