Election day is Thursday 6 May

Election day is Thursday 6 May

Polling stations are open 7am-10pm today - don't forget to vote!

Today, Thursday 6 May, around 6.1 million registered Londoners will go to the polls to elect a new Mayor of London and 25 London Assembly Members. In Barnet, two by-elections will also take place on the same day. Registered voters in Edgware and East Barnet will elect one new councillor in each ward.

We are doing everything we can to make polling stations safe, but COVID-19 safety measures mean it will take longer than usual and there will be a queue. Polling stations will be open 7am-10pm. Try to avoid peak times if you can (6-9pm). Please do not bring your dog to your polling station, unless it is an assistance dog.

Voters will receive three ballot papers when they go to vote: one for the Mayor, one for the London-wide Assembly Members and one for the Barnet and Camden Constituency Assembly Member. Voters in Edgware and East Barnet wards will receive a fourth ballot paper to elect one new councillor.
